Apparently they want it to be more &#8220;social&#8221; with a new homepage filled with updates about our contacts instead of our own.</p> <p>It still have some major drawbacks though:</p> <p>- Where the hell do we follow our activity now? I kinda used to like it on the homepage.</p> <p>- The new paid subscriptions offers are a <strong>HUGE</strong> rip-off. It&#8217;s almost as if they want everyone to stick with a free account only. Now you have to pay 50$/yr just to get rid of the ads and a wooping 500$ for 2TB of storage. I still have a pro account for 25$/yr and well maybe I&#8217;ll keep it. The thing is, the new free account offer almost everything we used to have with the pro account except the stats and the absence of ads. Storage is a non issue because I hardly believe someone will use up all the 1TB except if you use flickr as a backup storage for your photos and that&#8217;s not really it&#8217;s primary function.</p> <p>All in all, I&#8217;m liking the update. Some things can still be improved here and there but I believe they really needed the change after so much time of doing <strong>NOTHING</strong>.</p> <p>Well, Yahoo have been pretty busy this weekend. RAM is definitely a retro record. It’s a testament of DP to their love of the 70s and of Disco. The songs are full of funk and disco with the signature vocoder here and there to make us remember that this is still a DP record.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span>What I also love about this record is the progressive nature of the album. RAM works perfectly as a whole. It’s the kind of album you can easily listen to in its entirety without having to skip anything because it was all well though and designed so that all of the tracks work perfectly together. Of course I have some favorites in the album. From ‘Touch’ to ‘Doin’ it right’ or the massive conclusion ‘Contact’, this is probably one of those albums that will rarely leave my iPod/Phone for a couple of months or even years.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span>Not everyone is happy about this record and it’s normal because it’s so different from what DP used to do while still being so DP in certain ways.
